Blood Tests for Hair Loss Treatment

Blood tests are an important tool which helps doctors test and track elements of your health and for us at Absolique, your hair loss treatment. You may be aware of the increasing difficulty in obtaining blood tests to check your own health. Medicare have made changes in the system that we, as consumers and taxpayers, have not been made aware of.

The changes have doctors being audited for ordering too many blood tests for their patients. It is obviously a way of the government saving money. But what has resulted is many doctors simply refusing to run blood tests, even when there are clear indicators that things are not quite right with your blood work.

Blood Tests for Hair Loss Treatment:

  • Medicare have made changes in the system
  • Doctors are being audited
  • Hair loss and thinning hair are not recognised as medical conditions
  • Always get a copy of your blood test
  • Blood test will help pinpoint problems with hair loss and thinning hair

Sadly, hair loss, thinning hair and scalp conditions are not recognised as medical conditions. Most people will turn to their respected doctor when they first experience hair loss, thinning hair or changes in scalp condition. Many doctors will fob you of and tell you it is age or genetics and get over it. This is a very wrong attitude. Thins change in the hair and skin when there are problems within. It is imperative that you get blood test when you encounter hair loss, thinning hair and scalp condition changes.

Always get a copy of your blood test, it is your blood. Doctors may read you blood test results and say everything is ok. Fine, ask for a copy and bring it to your Absolique Trichologist, we will read not just bracket ranges, but how your numbers move within the ranges and how many of the numbers effect other numbers. It is not difficult to do, you just need to be taught, understand or care.

Many elements in your blood test will help pinpoint problems with hair loss, thinning hair and scalp condition changes. You should urge your doctor to perform the required tests because of your concerns. If there is any past history of family problems, let your doctor know. Once your doctor understands how this problem is worrying you, they should, in due care, help you with your blood test. It is your right as a taxpayer after all. Please contact us if you need a list of blood tests to include or to share your hair loss treatment story, email info@absolique.com.au or call 07 3229 3242 to speak with our helpful team.
